I tried to get Papa to take one last swim in the pool before we left but for some reason he seemed hesitant. The morning we left we had another chance to see Laura. This time Tom was able to come along. After a good breakfast we had to head to the airport to turn the rental car in and wait for our flight. It has been said that Papa "went kicking and screaming" but I think he just wanted to take the warm weather with him. Thank you for coming along on our vacation with us and please feel free to comment on any of the posts. If you decide to do a similar blog for your next vacation or event please let us know so we can join you also. Have a great day and happy traveling to all.

Our last day in Arizona was spent in and around Phoenix. We enjoyed visiting friends and relatives and decided that we could really get used to being warm all of the time. We had a wonderful dinner with Don, Sue, Rob, and Paige. Good food, good weather, good people..... what else could you ask for?

Day five has been a pretty lazy day for all of us. We 'spudded' for most of the day. We had a late lunch with Tom's cousin Jack and wife Kaye at Chili's, then they took us on a driving tour of downtown Prescott. After lunch we said good-bye to them and went to visit with Tom's Aunt Georgia for about an hour and took a few pictures there. A quick stop to find Papa Bob a western style shirt, then back to the hotel room. Sunset was absolutely gorgeous!!

Janice's dad, 'Papa Bob' posed for a rare photo.

The end of the day was spent with Tom's Aunt Georgia, who celebrated her 100th birthday on October 14.

Still more....

More pics from the road.

Day Four - leaving Sedona, headed for Prescott & Prescott Valley. Passed through Jerome, AZ on Hwy 89-A...the crookedest road I have ever been on in my life!!!!! I now know what my butt looks like in jeans!! (not bad, really!)
